What a duct replacement costs in Southwest Florida.
A full duct replacement starts around $6,500 for a 1 to 2 room home, & a standard 4 bedroom, 2 bath home usually lands around $12,000. Bigger multi room homes with zone dampers, linear diffusers & a designed duct layout can reach the $40,000 range; we've seen it. The estimate is free, & it starts with us in your attic with a flashlight, because half the time the fix is a collapsed run or a disconnected boot, not a whole new set of ducts.
What moves the price
- How much. One run to a hot room, a new trunk, or every duct in the house.
- Attic. Height, insulation depth, & how far it is from the air handler to the farthest register.
- Material. R8 flex is standard in Florida now. Hard pipe & ductboard trunks cost more but last longer.
- Returns. Most SWFL houses are short on return air. Adding one is often the single best dollar you spend.
- Sealing & balancing. Mastic on every joint & air balance at the end are in our price, not an add on.
