Aphex Mechanical is a family-operated, owner-run HVAC company serving Southwest Florida. What started with a father teaching his son the trade turned into a licensed, full-service operation built on doing things the right way.
Our Story
Where It Started
Jorge Ramos has over 21 years in the HVAC industry and has worked on every type of system: residential, commercial, high-velocity, hospital chiller systems, PCB communications, controls, etc... He's worked on just about every type of system there is, and he's done it at every level.
When his son Josue was 16, Jorge brought him along on a service call. No classroom, no manual. Just a toolbag, a truck, and a father who believed the best way to learn was to get your hands dirty. Over the next few years, Josue was right there for full residential installs, commercial changeouts, rooftop units, service calls, ductwork, and controls. Not watching from the side. Doing the work, learning every step of it firsthand.
The Foundation
Building Something Real
At 20, that experience turned into a Class A air conditioning contractor license. At 21, it became Aphex Mechanical.
After years of seeing how other companies operated, the goal was simple: build something better. Honest pricing, real answers, and a business that treats people the way they should be treated. Everything from the operations to the maintenance programs to this website was built from scratch with that in mind.
Today, Jorge oversees daily operations and is on every major job. Two decades of experience across residential, commercial, and industrial HVAC is the backbone of how this company runs.
