What a new AC system costs in Southwest Florida.
A standard one system replacement in Southwest Florida (the air handler & the condenser, or the package unit if that's what you have) usually lands between $6,500 & $14,000; variable & multi speed units & bigger homes run higher. The estimate is free. We walk the house, measure, check the ducts & the panel, & give you two or three options with what each one gets you. The number on paper is the number you pay. Almost all installs are done in one day. Call & we'll tell you where you land, roughly, before anyone drives out.
What moves the price
- Size. Tonnage is set by the house, not by the box that was there. Bigger is not better, it short cycles & leaves the humidity in.
- Efficiency. A 14.3 SEER2 single stage & a 21 SEER2 variable speed are different machines at different prices. We tell you where the payback actually is for your electric bill.
- Brand. Trane, Ruud, Daikin, ICP, RunTru when the budget says so. The right size matters more than the badge.
- What else needs doing. New pad or stand, disconnect & whip, lineset, float switch, a thermostat, sometimes ductwork or a return. All of it is in the estimate, nothing shows up on the invoice that was not on the estimate.
- Permit & inspection. In the price, every time, any county.
